Web Linking works over the Internet, allowing the real-time TypeWell transcript to be viewed on almost any type of reader device, including smartphones, iPads, and other Web-enabled devices. No special software is needed for the service user's device. All the user needs is a standard Web browser to view the transcript.
With V7 Premium, Web Linking is faster and more reliable than ever. The reader's browser page loads and refreshes more quickly, and has a fresh new look with improved font choices.
With two dedicated servers, transcribers can immediately switch channels to prevent interruptions in service. (Sterling can make a nicer map and label "East Coast Server" and "West Coast Server")
The transcriber and reader both need a reliable Internet connection in order for Web Linking to work. The transcriber's typing is sent to one of the Web Linking servers and can then be viewed in the reader's Web browser.
Web Linking is a free service for those with a V7 Premium Transcriber license. For V6 Premium Transcriber license holders, there is an extra charge to use this service.
